Orphan Sunday November 13th, 2011
I hope this letter finds you and your congregation well. As summer draws to a close it s time for setting schedules and making plans for the fall. Please include in your plans to participate in this year's 9th Annual Orphan Sunday on November 13th, 2011, "Rescuing & Ministering to the Orphans." It's vitally important!
For the last 10 years, together we have rescued over 28,000 orphans from 9 countries and daily we continue to provide care for over 20,000 of these children. 8,000 plus have successfully aged out of the children's homes and thanks to your support, they have gone on to college and skilled jobs. One half of these children would have died by now if we first had not rescued them. Some have been adopted by loving Christian families and their lives have been ultimately blessed. All have been given God's Word, shown His Love and have learned true moral values. Many have come to know Him and walk with the Lord daily.
That is what this ministry and Orphan Sunday is about… Rescuing Orphan Children, taking them out of harm's way and a life with NO Hope and giving them REAL HOPE and TRUE DREAMS. Giving them the opportunity to know God s love and educating them to give back more than they ever receive. This Ministry of Rescuing Orphans is a lifelong commitment to these children and through this Annual Orphan Sunday, the Church provides for their food, clothes, medical needs, education, Bibles, children's homes and love and caring for an entire year. That's how important this event is.
That's how important you are. All of our faithful congregations are eager every year to take part in this life saving Sunday to provide for thousands of orphan children currently cared for and we thank God for you. Every fall I try to figure out what will motivate or interest the thousands of congregations who are not part of this Godly mission of James 1:27. What can I say to make a difference? I have tried to answer every possible objection some may have about participating. How every dollar and then some goes to provide for the orphans, how God wants the orphans cared for by the church.

Tens of thousands of orphan children are dying to be rescued. We desperately need more congregations to help these children through Orphan Sunday or to sponsor an orphanage. It only takes a very small part of your mission budget. This year I am asking for YOUR HELP. Not only to take part in Orphan Sunday but to get the attention of more congregations. To get them too seriously look and talk with their members about orphan rescue and care. I know any congregation who has adopted children will be interested.
First… Please plan to be part of this year's Orphan Sunday on November 13th, 2011. You will receive a complete participation packet by the middle of October which will include a DVD Presentation, sermon outline, poster and hand outs (bulletin inserts).
Second… Help us double the amount of children we can rescue by getting more congregations involved. The most effective way to get a new congregation interested is with a personal referral by someone who believes in this Orphan Ministry.

I believe with your involvement and help we can greatly grow this life saving ministry to the Orphan Children God loves and wants cared for.
